Our project proposal GREENERG-PRO – Boosting untapped green business development in public procurement in the Middle East and Asia’ addresses fully the challenge of the call COS-PPOU-2020- 2-03 ‘Supporting European SMEs to participate in public procurement outside the EU’.
We have planned a set of integrated actions and activities ensuring the sustainability of the results after the lifespan of the project. Partner clusters will implement activities to improve their members (SMEs) access to public procurement opportunities in Israel, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore.
We have also planned activities to enhance partner clusters’ capacities to provide better and more targeted support to members preparing them to become aware and understand and build knowledge on public procurement opportunities and frameworks in the target markets.
We have already developed permanent internationalisation services for our members (350 SMEs) covering two regions, namely ASEAN and the Middle East, and third countries (e.g. Taiwan, India). We have already developed tools that we already use jointly as partners for this purpose, including internet based platforms/ tools for knowledge gathering and sharing and business matchmaking and support.
We plan activities to embed the support on public procurement in the target countries within the already existing joint services on internationalisation and access to third markets.
Service: Procurement
Focuses on fostering business development for clusters’ members and on supporting SMEs to find peers in the local markets to create relevant consortia and with the technical capacity to tender/bid successfully to specific procurement opportunities outside the EU. We will conduct specialised trainings for clusters’ members and we will conduct trade missions with SMEs to the target countries linking the missions to an agenda covering B2B meetings, attending international trade shows and technical meetings with procurers (B2P) and partner organisations. We will also organise 4 country thematic virtual matchmaking events with the selection of SMEs and covering B2B and B2P networking and pitching and focusing each virtual matchmaking event in 3-4 concrete business opportunities previously monitored and detected.
